BRISBANE, QLD (29 May 2008) - The Software Industry Professionals group, an initiative of Multimedia Australia that helps people, businesses and companies in the software industry network with others and maximise their business' potential, celebrated its 2nd anniversary today.
Over 1900 software publishers in 93 countries have joined as Software Industry Professional members since its launch in mid-2006, making it one of the world's largest groups representing members of the software industry.
Multimedia Australia covers 100% of the cost of membership, making it free for members to join and participate.
Members have access to a number of services ranging from discussion forums, free promotion services, access to articles, online tools, and more.
"Software Industry Professionals has received overwhelming support since its launch," said a spokesperson from Multimedia Australia.
"Every day membership numbers grow as a result of word of the membership benefits getting around the industry."
"Membership numbers are expected to reach well over 2000 within the next 2-3 months," he said.
Software Industry Professionals continues to expand the number of benefits offered to members, and its website has already grown to consist of over 800 pages. The most recent additions include a revamped website design and the inclusion of featured industry news segments.
